It has been a while since I have got on here to blog. A lot has happen. First off Payton is now 5 months old and is learning to set up on her own. She still has some issues with falling off to one side but she is getting the hang off it. We go in for her 6 month check up here in a couple of weeks so we will update ya when that happens. She also has learned that she has a voice and a loud one at that; she is talking - well I should say baby talking all the time. She has also come to find bear bear - aka Tyrus, very funny. When Tyrus well bark she will start to talk and when Tyrus will walk around she will stop and watch him like a hawk and when Tyrus comes to give her kisses on the hands she try's her hardest to get that dogs tongue - funny to watch cause Tyrus can care less he just wants what ever food is left on her hands. Well I am still working at my masters program and of course you need a computer to do all that school work, right? Yep! Well this computer that I have had for years. I bought it back when I moved to Boise and sad to say but I and Chad have put it through some hard times - as you can see from the picture there are missing buttons lol. So a couple of weeks ago we did our research and decided not to get another Dell but to invest in the iPad2. This thing is awesome! I would recommend this thing to anyone. And as you can see here Chad has also added his touch to it lol.

More updates to come and I promise I will get better - life just got so busy with going back to school, work and keeping up with our little little.

Ready for Valentines Day

I cant believe how fast our little Payton is growing! Payton is 4 months almost 5 months - in 2 weeks. We went shopping for her a couple days ago and I found this perfect dress for Valentines! It is a little big right now but I just had to take some pictures of it before church today.

I know I am late posting this but two weeks ago Payton had her first bites of cereal. She did really good and loved every mess bite. We even have given her bites of banana which she gets really excited about. She really loves her high chair too... I think she likes the fact that it is so high and she can see everything mom and dad are doing.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone! I have to say that it was very exciting to have our first family Christmas with our little Payton - but both Chad and I have to admit that we don't think Christmas is Christmas unless you are with family and this year we were not. We miss our families very much and are very excited to see my parents this coming week for the new year and to celebrate my younger cooler bro's birthday. For now enjoy our Christmas morning fun!

A couple of days ago Payton and I ventured down to Aunt Chelsea's to visit and frost some Christmas sugar cookies. We had a blast. Payton and Liam chilled out while Chelsea, Lucy and I made a sugary mess in the kitchen. Another event happen that day but it is a Christmas gift which I cant talk about until Grandma and Grandpa get. . . HeHe

Payton has a new toy that she loves with all her heart. It is a sun that sings to her. She has figured out that if she moves it that it makes noise and at time will sing to her. Yes it is true my little girl can now roll and she loves it! When we go to change her she rolls, when I get her out of bed she rolls, when she is doing her tummy time she rolls all over the place! Her are some pictures and a clip of her rolling.

Thanksgiving Toes

It was Payton's first Thanksgiving and she loved every minute of it! She was in the kitchen helping mom cook all day - well until she needed her breaks to eat and take a cat nap. She loves to sit in her swing and watch me in the kitchen, even those days when I just am in there to wash the dishes. This Thanksgiving Payton found her toes! It was so cute - while she was watching me she would look down and start to talk to her toes! It is so exciting to hear her start talking well that is her baby talk and its even better to see that beautiful smile every day! This year Chad, Payton and I stayed at home; we made a small ham and just relaxed on the couch all day!

I have to say that Christmas is in the air! I am so excited for this year cause not only is it little Payton's first Christmas but we also get to go home!! We were so excited that little Payton and I went shopping and got her a Christmas dress, which of course we had to wear to church!! Fun fact she is wearing the same little black shoes that Chelsea and I wore when we were her size. She is growing so fast!!

I need to blog tonight and write a little about my wonderful husband who I love with all my heart. Three years ago on November 8th I married my best friend and we were sealed for time and all eternity in the Boise Temple! I remember that one hot summer day 4 and a half years ago- both Chad and I worked at the Boise Hawks. It was just my fun job while school was out for the summer, I thought it would just be a way to get out and meet people but little did I know that I would meet my eternal companion. And yes I will admit here and now - just once so enjoy Chad - that I did ask for his number! Chad is my other half that makes me whole. Weather I am having a good or bad day he is there to support me through it all. He is my everything when I feel like everything in my world is wrong and cant be fixed. In his gentle loving ways always tells me how much he loves me. I will always love that face he makes right before he asks me if he can buy a sport item and how he smells when I get my welcoming hug and kiss when I walk through the door after a long day at work. I love you so much Chad - I am so blessed to spend eternity with you and cant wait to see what comes our way!

Sorry it has taken forever to get to blogging but life is crazy!!! Well Halloween has come and gone. Chelsea, Lucy and Liam came down for my kindergarten Halloween party . . . we all had a blast. After school Chelsea and I took the challenge on and went out to eat with yes all three baby's. . .it was a blast! First off must I say that we have the best doc for Payton! She is always so nice and is just so straight forward which I love - especially being a special ed teacher you always see and hear the worst. Well our little princess has grown she now weights 10pnds and is 22' long. She received her shoot and did ok with it. The first shoot she took like a champ then the second and third her face turned bright red and then started to cry. . She was out of it for the rest of the day . . poor little little.

I cant believe that our little Payton is already 2 months old! She has grown in so many ways.. she now smiles all the time, especially at night when we wakes up to eat she will smile at you as you change her then go set down to feed her! She is always taking to you and when we go out she has the biggest eyes and loves to look around at all the new things to her! This Thursday we have her 2 month check up and then at that time I can update ya all on how is has grown!! Until then enjoy the pictures!

My First BYU Game

It was two weeks ago that we decided to take the huge trip to Provo. Our first big trip with our little little. So after work I raced home and rounded the troops and by 3pm we were on the road - making really good timing for having a baby but I do have to admit I got her diaper bag ready the night before. By the time we got there the gates were open so we decided not to venture to the bookstore. I bet I know whats going through your mind right now - taking a baby to a loud night game.. ya right - well she did awesome! We thought we would only make it one or two quarters with her but we made it through the whole game! She eat and slept the whole time, she did awesome! We can even say she loved ever min of her first of many BYU games! Go Cougars!

I cant believe that it was 7 weeks ago tomorrow that our precious little Payton came into our lives. She is such a great baby! She sleeps at night, well until she is hungry then goes back to sleep, she smiles at you and she loves to put her arm around you when she wants to snuggle. It is crazy to think that last year this time our lives were so different to what it is now. Now instead of going all the time now we rather stay home and hold our little girl. Payton's 2 month check up isn't until Oct 28th and then at that time I can update ya all on how much she has grown. . . until then her is a picture update of our little girl.

I know this is late but it is hard to find some free time. . . but we just wanted to post on Payton's first Sunday. She did awesome... she slept the whole time unless she was hungry - now for Chad and I it was a different story, church was so calming that we just wanted to sleep the whole time lol. . . But all in all it was great! This picture was taken today... she was smiling away and was so cute Chad had to take her picture. . . and again she did awesome at church day.

We are so excited to announce that our little bundle of joy has arrived! I have to admit that we wanted her here sooner but her timing was great. Monday morning at 5:07am my water broke. At first I thought that I had pee'd the bed but as I continued to try to roll over it just started to come all out. I calmly woke Chad up and he helped me get to the bathtub where I spent the next couple of minutes as he got our bags together and called the doctor. Once my water was pretty much out we headed to the hospital. We arrived at the hospital at 5:30am - I must say that it was a huge blessing that my water broke so early in the morning, both Chad and I hate Utah traffic and we had to travel from Sandy to Down Town Salt lake on south temple. Once we arrived I was all hooked up and put in my 'birthing room'. I cant tell you how exciting the whole process was... now you probably don't hear that from a lot of women due to the pain they know they are about to experience but for Chad and I it was the most exciting time!! We watched sports center, family matters and of course more sports center. I don't know why but I sleep'd a majority of the time.. well as much as you can with doctors and nurses coming in and out. Around 11:30am I asked for my epidural - the guy did a great job and I didn't feel a thing! My contractions started right away and where 2 minutes apart the whole time once we where in the hospital. By 9:45pm the nurse had me start some practice pushes, which didn't last long. I did two sets of practice pushes and then she had me stop as she went to get the doctor. Once the doctor came in she said one more push and she should be here... well I wish it was one push but it was two but hey pushing only 2 times and done was a dream come true. I have to say that Chad did a great job the whole time. He is not good with the sight of blood but held my one leg and smiled at me the whole time. Once Payton was on my tummy life as I knew it changed and it was the best experience ever! Chad went with Payton as they cleaned her up and took info on her. By 2:30am our family was in our recovery room - and needless to say we where all so tired. The doctor came in to help me feed her they told us to turn our cell phones off and told us that Payton was going to the nursery so we could sleep. At first I didn't like the idea but once I got to the recovery room I was ok with the nurse that was going to watch her that night in the nursery. The next day we spent resting and wishing for food other then hospital food. Wednesday we were released and made our trip home. Both Chad and I where so excited to shower in our shower and change our clothes and sleep in our own bed. Payton has been doing awesome! She is eating great, sleeping at night (unless hungry) and is our little snuggle bug. I just want to thank doc Jennifer Holmes for the awesome doctor she was - even tho she is a Utah fan - she is awesome! And don't worry we will keep everyone updated!

A New School Year and Still No Baby Yet!

Well starting Monday morning a new school year will begin! This past Tuesday night was back to school night and I enjoyed meeting my new students but also was sad to see last years students go to first grade without me, but was sure happy when they came to say hi to me! I had my last doc apt on Wednesday and she checked me and said I am still 80% effaced and almost 3 centimeters dilated, then she went ahead and striped my membrane - which I didn't know about until later that day when I started contractions but still nothing happened. I have been having contractions on and off for the past couple of days... so to help things along at school and at home I walk everywhere!! Everyone at work is shocked that I have not gone into labor and safe to say that I am shocked too! The great part about being pregnant and being special ed teacher is that kids have issues with somethings and a huge majority of my students at back to school night didn't want to accept that there was a baby in my tummy but instead a basketball! Funny right! But they sure are in tune with the spirit cause every single student guessed right on the sex of the baby!!

So with my hope that labor will start anytime, here is my last picture! I am huge right! and my super wonderful hubby took me to the mall today and got me a new pair of sandals (a pair that fits my swollen feet) and I got my eye brows done. He wanted me to have a pedicure but my feet are so swollen and hurt so bad that I said no... but I am so thankful for him and all that he has been doing for me! Wish me luck ya all!!

Well I have to start by saying that I have been so blessed this whole pregnancy to have the great health and strength that I have. Being pregnant is an experience that words can not describe but as I was setting in church today the only words that did come to my mind was: joy and blessed. It overwhelmed me that Heavenly Father would give us one of his precious daughters to raise. As I read some scriptures on the duty and responsibility that earthly parents hold I started to pray that Heavenly Father would be with Chad and I the whole time - guiding and directing us in raising Payton. I cant wait until she is here but I know she is in heaven with her grandparents and loved ones hearing all the stories about Chad and I - Chad says that's why she hasn't come yet is cause she rather be in heaven then with her crazy parents lol. Monday marks week 38! My doctor says that Payton is right where she should be nice and low (the doc said Payton is so low that when she comes it will be fast coming) and at the last doc apt I was 80% e-faced - so it is just the waiting game. Now the waiting game is not so nice to me lately - I give anyone the advice not to have her due date in the summer time! My body does NOT and I repeat does NOT take heat good at all. For the past couple of days just going to the store is a marathon and when I get home my feet and legs look like this!! HUGE

Oh yes.. it is true! your feet can get this big. My doc told me to put my feet up as much as possible but right now that's hard considering I am at school getting things ready for this new school year and for my sub that will be in my place as I am out with Payton. scary right!! Oh well its all worth it in the end! But man do they hurt daily! On Wed is our next doc apt and until then I will leave you with this scary picture....

A Deal of a Life Time

Ok... I know you all have seen that 'Extreme Coupon' show on TLC. Well my Chelsea and I are always out to find the best deal and save some money! Well today I think we hit a deal of a life time. But before I go any further I have to confess that I don't do the extreme coupon like the show but I do use my coupons when I have them. So Chelsea sent me the ad to a grocery store that has a sale - all Kellogg items .97 - you have to admit that it is so good to be true but its true. So Chad and I headed to Wal-mart, where they price match, and got some items. We hit up 2 Wal-marts and got some great stuff. We are even thinking about going back on Monday to get some more!! but here is the load that we got...

36 Weeks

Wow, I cant believe that time has gone by so fast! It seems like just yesterday that Chad and I found out that we were expecting a little one. Just the other day we went out to enjoy some ice cream and we were discussing all the wonderful blessing our Heavenly Father has blessed us with and the blessing he has given us in preparation for Payton.

Don't scream to loud when you see my picture! I know I am huge, believe me its hard to even get out of bed I am so big. And that is not to mention the fact that I swell up from the heat like no one's business... even the doc put me on bed rest for a couple of days cause the swelling was so bad on my feet. But out of all of this there are a couple of things I would do different for my next pregnancy. 1st- invest in the ice cream and t.p. stocks and 2nd - not have my due date in August again cause of the heat.

To start off I have to say that I have been very blessed not to have been in a car accident or cause a car accident. But those who drive crazy should be off the roads FOREVER! Today as I was getting into my car to take Chad his lunch I noticed that someone had hit my bumper!! I was so mad!! People in Utah are crazy, stupid, careless, and a whole lot of other words I wont say, when it comes to driving. I have learned that if I want to stay out of an accident to stay off the freeway, so I have learned how to get anywhere I want using the back-roads but still that is not enough... A PARKED CAR people.. my car was parked and someone hit it. The only good thing I see from this is that we are safe and second to repair it wont cost much but it wont come close to my deductible so its all out of pocket... Deep Breath!!!

Almost Done With My List

Well after yesterday I can safely say that my 'list to do before Payton comes' is almost done! On top of getting the bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, bedroom super-duper cleaned I finally got the carpets washed!!! I can't tell you how accomplished I feel. Every time I walk through our door I smile cause everything is so clean. And on top of getting the carpets cleaned I got Tyrus super-duper cleaned! We took him to get a bath, brushing and nail clipping yesterday. It was funny cause he thought he was going to play with the other puppies but when we picked him up you could tell he was not happy that he couldn't play. The picture is of him when we got home... all sad cause he didn't get to play. The only thing left to do is to clean the stink'n windows and get the car vacuumed out.

I Can't See My Toes!!!

It is sad but true... my tummy is to big and I can't see my toes! I am sure it has been this way for a while but I didn't notice it until yesterday when I dropped something and I noticed my toes were still there. So today I thought I would take the time (2 and 1/2 hours) and pamper my feet. My dear wonderful hubby offered to send me to a beauty salon that would give me a pedicure (on the account I couldn't breath) but I am to embarrassed on how I have let my feet go... so I got my '911 our feet look bad' kit out and got to work. I can now say they are in ok shape but once a free moment opens up I think I might take my hubby's offer up and get a nice pedicure before our little Payton arrives. I have to say that I am very proud of myself ... this week I got almost everything done on my 'list to do.' Chad was starting to worry because I had piles of stuff everywhere; the DI pile, the has to go in storage but the storage has to be organized first pile, Payton's wash pile, and so on. Chad called it my new refuge home decor... haha very funny Chad. So on top of the items I got done from the last post I got our bed skirt made along with matching pillow cases (made from a twin size fitted sheet that I found from reorganizing our storage, which was only used once back in Boise) Oh and the best part is that we got a new duvet cover!! In the picture it looks really read which it is red but to me looks way to red, oh well. On top of that I finally pulled to trigger on a dresser and got it delivered on Friday so now we have more storage room for our stuff and Payton's stuff. On top of all that I got the bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, and half the bedroom super-duper cleaned!! That thing they call 'nesting' is no joke, it took over me and I can't stop until everything is super clean, just ask Chad he gets in trouble if he doesn't pick up his socks . . . lol. Now I just need to finish super-duper cleaning the bedroom and living room and from there my next project will be a new TV stand that hides all the wires and movies!

My Wonderful Hubby

I truly have the best husband in the world! Yesterday after having the worst back pain and not sleeping very good all night, my wonderful hubby got up early to make me breakfast in bed!! I loved it! He made me bacon, toast and fresh fruit with apple juice!! I truly have the best husband ever! Thank you so much Chad you are the best and words can't tell you how much I love you!!

I can't believe how fast time goes when you look at it in weeks!! I can remember our first Doc's apt when she told me I was only 8 weeks along... crazy now I am 32 weeks going on to week 33. Right now I go see the Doc every 2 weeks then when I hit 36 weeks I will go in every week and hopefully by week 37 or 38 Payton will be in our arms!! Well until then here are my update pictures, please keep in mind that it is way hot at church and I still have that nasty hair cut that can't grow out fast enough.... enjoy!!

Getn Ready For Payton

I can't begin to tell you how excited both Chad and I are for Payton to come! It seems like time stands still when we are going about getting things ready for her. I have to admit that not until school was out for the summer that I really got on the ball with Payton's things.... but that is not to say that I didn't have to 'Payton's to do' list piling up. Back in April when my Mom came down for Liam's birth (Chelsea's little boy) we all went to this awesome fabric store and it was there that I had decided to take on the task of making Payton's crib bedding (and partly because I couldn't find anything that I liked in the stores). So for the longest time I have had this pile for fabric and it was not until this week (thanks to Chelsea letting me borrow her sewing mech) that I have got to sew all these projects together... I got her car seat cover done, her bumper, crib skirt, a nursing cover, her 1st BYU blanket, and now currently working on a new bed skirt for our bed... so what do ya think!!

I WARN you now that a 31 week, very hot, tired and huge pregnant women is about to write on this blog... lol.

It has been a while since I wrote on this blog.. sorry ya all! Well lets see here.. were to start... Oh Yes! Well I am officially 31 weeks pregnant! Yesterday I had another check up and the Doc said that everything looks great! As she was measuring my tummy and listening to the heart beat, Payton was kicking up a storm! And when she kicks my whole body moves... especially my tummy! The Doc loved it thou so I guess in two more weeks we will see if Payton is going to do the same thing at that Doc apt. I can't tell you how excited I am for her to finally come! And I can safely say that I have loved being pregnant up until this week when the heat hit Utah! I think I am going to die it is so hot here! and the worst part it has only got up to 89F so far... Man when it hits the 90's or 100's Chad is going to have to pack me in ice!! So I warn you that the picture below is me but with like 10 glass of cold water that makes me look like I am huge and yes I am very tired!! PLUS a really bad hair cut.... She cut my bangs way to short and didn't put layers in so to me it just looks weird...

So some of you knew that Chad and I were looking at buying a house here and we found one that we loved and we made an offer and they accepted our offer but then when we were told that all the financial aspects were in order - they weren't so they house had to go on the waiting list! I thought I would never hear this in my life time but they told us that we made to much for the type of housing loan that we wanted... oh well it really was a blessing cause after looking at daycare and that cost of daycare we decided that Chad would go to part time - then we don't need a daycare and Chad will watch Payton when I am teaching and when I get home Chad will go to work for a while - and the best part is that we will have the weekends together!!! I can't remember a weekend that Chad didn't have to work and I am so excited about that!!

So now my focus is getting these last credits done for the summer (I think it will take me a life time to finish my masters in special ed) and getting the house all in order. I feel at times on top of 'my list to do before Payton' but then there are times when I just want to cry cause there is so much to do... but I know the Lord will bless me so I can get this crazy list done - along with some extra rest!! Well I am off to get Chad from work and then to pick out a dress for Payton! Wish me luck in this heat!!

Wow! I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted!! I can tell you that life is going 100mph and I am just standing in the middle of all of it numb and not moving.

Well let me start off by telling you that this school year is officially over! It is sad but true! Kindergarten graduation was Thursday and then yesterday, Friday the last day of school we took the kids to the Zoo. It is amazing how fast this school year has gone and I will miss my students so much. The pictures below are my students at the zoo... enjoy they were a crazy bunch... partly because I gave donuts out before we got on the bus...oops! I will post pictures of Kindergarten graduation once I get them.

On Monday morning Chad and I will going to our next doctors apt. I have to say that we have been so blessed with getting everything that Payton will need. Now I just worry about getting the crib skirt sewed together and finishing some blankets that I had started for Payton. Oh and a big thanks goes out to Aunt Chelsea for letting us borrow some of Lucy's old clothes!! Now all I need to do is put together the hospital bag and convince Chad which outfit Payton will wear home - lol. And don't scream to loud when you see this picture! I am a very wiped out prego girl how just ran the last mile at work and I cant get enough sleep...but yes that is me at 28 or 29 weeks - I cant remember my mind is on a early vacation. Hey Chelsea this is that changing pad cover that I got for only $10... Chelsea and I compare prices on everything - its fun!

What are you going to do all summer long you ask... that is easy I still have credits to finish up and a huge multi-subject exam come Aug 4th to pass which I have not started studying for... then while I am not studying I will be getting my 6 weeks of lesson plans ready for when I will be on maternity leave. Then there is the sewing and finishing loss ends with Payton's items oh and then we might be moving come August 1st- where yet we don't know - that is a huge story all of its own and until its all put together I would rather not say. So yeah no vacation for me well not until that list to do is done!! Wish us luck!!

Sorry it has been so long but so much is going on and not enough time to blog about it all! Well to start off Chelsea and I B-day was on the 23rd and to Chelsea's surprise Liam came!! So not only are there 2 B-days on the 23rd but now 3 which is really cool. Mom was able to come down and spend time with us all, which was great! I miss my Mom and Dad so much. I so wish that we all lived closer. This week marks my 24th week of pergo-ness and only 3 weeks of school left. I cant tell you how excited I am to have school come to an end but at the same time I really have loved this year of teaching and don't want my students to move on to 1st grade. I was setting in church today and was thinking about all that I need to get done at work and then for Payton's arrival and it just blew me away with how fast time has gone! We only have 3 more months before baby Payton is here....crazy!! Well here is a little picture update...

WOW! I know I am getting way big! There are times that I cant breath and feel like a whale lol. But 24 weeks and Payton is growing right along and healthy!

Now these pictures below are some of the great finds that we found when mom was here.... The new Baby bag that I love to pieces!! even Chad was loves it!This picture is of the car seat cover that we made... I say we because my Mom and Chelsea are so much better and have more patients with sewing then I do.. So a lot of it was done by mom and Chelsea!! Thanks guys I love it!!And these are some burp clothes that my Mom and Chelsea made me while I was at work and there were at home with the babies... See we went to the fabric mill and I bought fabric for the car seat cover, burp clothes and the bedding which is the same fabric as the car seat cover.... I will take pictures of that once I start that project... Now this awesome find was Chad's pride and joy... We spend a lot of time just walking around the stores and sales rack for items for Payton and while we were at Babies R Us Chad found these cute shoes for only $8 bucks!!

This past week has been the best week ever! Chad and I went on Monday morning to our fetal well being ultrasound and found out the we are having a baby.....GIRL!! Her name will be Payton Victoria Dornon. Her middle name is after Chad's Mom who is no longer with us. I have to say that it is a good thing we are having a girl, cause that was the only name we really agreed on. The boy names we had we kept going back and forth so it was meant to be a girl. Now that we know it is a girl both Chad and I can't wait for her to be here! This past week we have gone shopping and have found the cutest stuff for her!! Spring Break Update....

Wow I can't believe that it is already Thursday night and my spring break is almost over! Well to start off my spring break we made the trip down to Boise to visit family. Time with family is always special and I am so blessed to have that time with my Mom, Dad, Tyrel and Kristian. It is hard to get all the way home to Othello but it was nice to meet half way at Shane's new house!

For Christmas my wonderful parents got us this beautiful frame! See we had our pictures professionally done back in November as a part of our 2 year anniversary and my mom and dad got us this awesome frame to put our pictures in. Thanks Mom and Dad - we love it!

Now that we are back home I have got a lot done! I have made my lesson plans for the rest of the school year, got my hair done, made the steal of a life time and am having birthday lunch with Chelsea. Below are some pictures.... The flower pot picture is for school. We have the Spring Autism Gala this month and each class has to make a craft to sell and I came up with this flower pot that holds pictures or recipe cards. Now when you look at my hair you are probably thinking nothing is different, well I didn't want to get it to short yet, but I did get a trim to help it not look so thin and raggy.Oh yes, it is true a prego women can reach their feet.... well let me rephrase that a 5 month prego women can still reach her feet but with lots of break to breath. I got the steal of a live time at Nordstrom Rack with these sandals so of course you have to paint your nails to show off the new shoes!!

While I was busy doing all these things my sweet puppy is sleeping on our bed....I think he was tired for me!!

Spring Break is Here.....FINALLY

It felt like FOREVER to get to this day! Starting at 1:50pm my spring break had begun and the race to do my forever long 'to do' list had started. I have to share with you how my day started before I go into my to do list... 9am kids - shaving cream - picnic - 5 senses popcorn activity - autism awareness balloon let go - and finally the kids set home. The pictures below are of the shaving cream activity along with the school wide balloon toss. I have found working at a all autistic school you come to appreciate life way more... Now to that list... well so far so good and its only 9:30 at night!! So far I have washed the car, vacuumed the car, cleaned the house, 3 loads of laundry, washed the dog, and got Chad's dinner to him. But I still have so such much left on that huge list... Special Ed test for masters, finish lesson plans for the rest of the year, autism gala baskets, birthday lunch with sister and so much more.... and best of all sleeping in every day!! Wish me luck!! So much and so little time....

I feel so bad that I am such a bad blogger but there is so little time out there now. Lots has happen... so I will first start with the car. Oh the car... the car... I can now say, after a wonderful hour of seating in the salt lake DMV office, that the car's plate is now register in Utah - which for me was a sad day. I really don't enjoy living in Utah...especially when it only cost me $80 bucks in Idaho to register and in Utah they wheeled me out spending over $200 bucks! Now on to a happier topic... this past week I have experienced my first craving and feeling the baby move!! I have to admit that the craving came first, caffeine free Dr. Pepper!! I don't know what it was but when I got my hands on that can I just melted, which is so weird I have not had a soda in almost a year. Then just the other day I felt the baby move... it was weird but cool all at the same time. At first I thought it was just gas but then I felt it again and again. I know at our last doctors apt that when we heard the heart beat she (the doc) commented on the fact that the baby was very active... Chad claims he or she is practicing basketball so they are ready to play there old man!

15 weeks and a Crib

Well I am happy to report that my cold is almost gone, just that last stretch with the nose and I will be cold free. YEAH!! The past couple of weeks Chad and I have been doing our homework with car seats and cribs. It is scary to know that child items are really not tested for safety. But we found a car seat brand and crib brand that is known for its safety and not known for its recalls. So on Monday we ventured out to Target and got our crib!! It was exciting and crazy all at the same time... I didn't really feel pregnant until this week when we got our crib and then on Thursday when my favorite pair of jean would not button (to uncomfortable). I am to scared to look at or even try on maternity pants, it makes me feel like I wont get back to my regular weight after the baby... oh well it is for a good cause right! Sorry it has been a while since I last blogged but I have been so sick!! It all started this past weekend. I slept all weekend trying to get ready for the next week of work and life but starting Sunday I started to crash. Monday I had horrible back spasums which required me to call the doc for help. Then after getting that all taken care of, on Tuesday my cold turned into a mega cold which literally wiped me out! I could not get out of bed, I couldn't stay awake longer then an hour... to sum it up it was horrible! It was so bad that Tyrus started to throw up.... poor chad had to take care of us sick-ies. All I remember all week is opening my eyes to see chad cleaning and then falling back to sleep, I love chad so much he is the best!! I will post pictures of me, I am now 14 weeks, but I am just waiting until I feel better. Well that is all the energy I have for today... I will blog later!!

Valentines With Kindergarten!!

I have to say that there are several up's to being a kindergarten teacher!! Every holiday you get great gifts and at least once a week I get random 'I love you/you are cool' notes. This Valentines was lots of fun. We made our Valentines boxes, exchanged Valentines, frosted sugar cookies and played tons of games. Here are some pictures!! I also had a great Valentines night with my wonderful hubby. We went window shopping for baby items then came home and made dinner together and watched a movie. Now nights like this are the best because we don't see each other much at all. When I am done with work Chad goes to work....so the only time I see him is when I go to his work for dinner. Oh well we make it work. I love you Chad! You are my everything and I am so grateful that I was blessed to marry you in the Lords temple for time and all eternity.

Chad's Birthday

A dream came true for Chad on his birthday!! Months ago Chad got a court side seat to the Jazz vs Bulls game, since then he has had a count down to this day which was also his birthday. I can not tell you how excited he was for this game. He loves, LOVES the Bulls. Last year, when we went out to Chicago, we went to a Bulls game and had a blast, so thinking of ideas for his birthday this year, it would only be appropriate to get him the Jazz vs Bulls ticket. Well his birthday was this week and he had a blast at the game!! He was able to talk to D Rose, Noah and several other players, he was able to get their autograph and much more!! And the best part is that he was on TV!! PS the pictures done lie, he was right there!! Happy Birthday Chad I love you!!

10 weeks

Well this past Saturday marked my 10 weeks. I have to say that I have been very blessed and have slid almost to my second term without any morning sickness. Now that is not to say that I don't have those days where I feel like crap, cause I have had those morning were getting ready for work happened on the bathroom floor. So to mark this week I took a picture - please keep in mind that this picture was taken before church yesterday and it was all I could do just to get up...lol. Other then that I am doing great, I feel way fat but thankfully still fit into my jeans!! My next doc apt is Feb 11th.

The Big News...

Yes it is true...We are going to have a little one!!

We waited until today which was also our first doctors apt to announce that we are excepting. The doctor said both me and the baby are in great health. My due date is August 29th, which is also the first day of school for the 2011-12 school year, which also means that I am 8 weeks along. I knew something was up and when Christmas break came around I took a test and in no time that test said positive. So once I saw the positive sign I went back to bed and woke Chad up and told him that he needs to go into the bathroom. Worried that something was wrong with the bathroom he went in and froze mid-step when he saw the positive test....hehe! We both were in way excited. I will keep everyone updated on how things go. Our first doctors apt my doctor did an ultrasound - I would post the picture of them but Chad took them to work to show everyone, so once he gets home I will post those ultrasound pictures. I hope to post picture updates every 2 weeks. Until then, here we go...

Christmas 2010

This year Christmas did not go totally as planned...but that is ok. Chad and I headed to Boise for Kevin's wedding which was great and they looked so happy. We stayed with Matt and Sarah and had loads of fun with Kyle!! Then after all that fun was done we came back home cause Chad had to work on day of Christmas week, which is ok by me he had to work all of thanksgiving week which was not cool. The downer part of this Christmas week was that we did not make it to my parents for Christmas. We made all the plans and everything was ready but with weather and other news we decided to save our money and make the trip when better weather came our way. At 1:30pm today kids ran crazy knowing they did not having to come back to school for two whole weeks!! My kindergartner's where so excited for today! They worked so hard and earned today's Christmas party. We played with plato, we wrote letters to Santa in shaving cream, we played Christmas bingo and made Christmas trees out of snow cones and they eat sugar upon sugar, all while we wore our PJ's. Below you can see some of my students making there Christmas trees.... it was a blast!
This past Wednesday Spectrum had their annual Christmas Program. My Kindergarten class sang Jingle Bells! We did such as great job... we stood tall and sang loud and proud!! I didn't get any pictures but I did get picture of my students practicing. If I can get pictures of the actually program I will share, but for now enjoy our practice picture..

I love weekends.. well that is when I have time to do the things I love. This weekend I wanted to make sugar cookies. So I got the Mrs. Fields cook book out and followed the directions to the T but some how they came out and tasted like chalk. My poor hubby had one bit, he was brave, and then called my mom to inform her that I need help. But don't they look good...hehehe oh well I will try again with a new recipe.

I don't know if I say this enough but I do have the best husband in the world. Monday night after I got home from school Chad had surprised me with dinner at the Roof on temple square. I have never been there and have wanted to go for some time now. We drove down town shopped at the mall walked around temple square then enjoyed the best dinner and view ever! I love every minute of it!!

I have to admit that I have never heard or been to a tai pan before but its like a Micheal's craft store but only Costco size. This coming Monday (November 8th) will be Chad and I second wedding anniversary!! It is amazing how time fly's!! So for this year we are doing something different which I totally love. Besides the pictures I just want to take a minute and say how much I love my hubby! Chad is an amazing man; he is so loving and thoughtful. Happy Halloween!!

I can't believe that Halloween is already here! I love this time of year there is so much to do and the best part is that you get time with your family!! At school we did lots of fun Halloween activities. The first was decorating the classroom with cool crafts done by the kids...don't you love the spider hand prints and the glow n the dark pumpkins... Then we went to a pumpkin patch! There we read Halloween stories, went through the hay maze, had lunch and picked out pumpkins!! It was a blast! Then this past Friday we had our Halloween party!! It was so much fun!! I dressed up as a butterfly...(not much out there that is modest) Our Halloween party had 4 stations, a make goo station, o-goo station, games, and mud cups for desert!! I hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween!

BYU Game in the Rain...

This past weekend Chad and I went to our regular BYU game...but this time it was pouring rain. When I mean pouring rain I truly mean pouring...see the pictures below there were hardly any fans there but that's all good because Chad and I waited right down by the field and we got to watch the players warm up and we got to see them come out onto the field which was great!! OK, moving has been like a year process for us and it has frustrated me to the max...well it really sent me over the top when I pulled our mattress out of storage and it was gross...so we had to toss it. Last weekend we went to furniture Row and pick out a bed but of course they never have it in stock so we had to wait unit today (TGIF) for our bed to be delivered!! I have a bed!! I can't wait to go to bed now!

Halloween is in the air...

Can you believe that it is already October!! Crazy right! Well to update ya all, work is going great. I have not yet taken a picture of my classroom because we are still in the works of getting it all ready for Halloween and our Halloween party. I do have to say that I have to be careful of what I do or say for Halloween and I have to remind myself that they are not the 9th graders I have been working with for the past several years. But Halloween is so much fun with these little guys there is so much excitement in the air. Below is a picture of the 'teachers' bathroom. A teacher thought it would be funny to put a huge spider behind the door. They keep track of how many teachers they can hear scream. When I went in their last week I didn't scream but almost jumped to the sky...lol...

Chad's work is going great, he loves eBay. I tease him all the time and tell him that he should join the eBay AAA program lol. This past week I had my mid fall break and I had Thursday and Friday off, which meant that I cleaned everything in sight...here is Chad's clothing that wont fit into our small closet. In our past townhouse our closest have been huge but now we are stuck with these small things that wont let me hang every clothing item chad or I own. Oh well now I am in search of a nice big dresser. Sorry the picture is so dark, but each pile is a team in which chad loves, there is the BYU, Bulls, Cowboys, Bears, Reds, North Cal, and Black hawks. and so on. Crazy right, oh ps all my items fit...hehe

Family, U-Haul, and the 3rd Floor.....

Last weekend was a little crazy but I felt that I got a lot accomplished. Friday night I flew into Boise and packed up all our stuff which had been setting in storage for quite some time. I thought it would take me a lot longer then it really took me but I was only there for about an hour and a half, which was great. I stopped by Matt, Sarah and Kyle's house to visit, then was off to bed. I woke up early the next morning and checked out of our storage unit and then on the road I went. (might I add that driving a u-haul is not all that exciting especially when you are trying to pass a cem-i) Oh and other piece of advice listening to general conference on a long drive is good but can put you to sleep if you lack sleep, lol. I do have to admit that I really miss my friends in Boise, I made so really dear friends and I miss them oh so much!! Around 2pm Saturday afternoon I drove up to our 3rd floor apt and finally kissed my husband who I didn't really see all week. Shane and Brit where in town and all of us older kids got together and had a great time at olive garden. Here are some of the great pictures that we took while at Olive Garden. That night we finally got our stuff up 3 floors. For about two days it looked like we where hoarders due to piles of box's everywhere and only paths around the apt to the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. lol it was funny but now we only have a couple more boxes to empty then we are really truly settled in. A special thanks goes out to Chelsea for helping us and Shane and Brit for letting me crash there place.

Hard is Good!

A couple weeks ago Chad and I went to Cougar kick off for season ticket holders. It was a great! We heard from the couch, Robbie B. and Lu-e-gi, and others...The main message of course is about BYU football but they also talked about how hard things are and how hard it is to be perfect, but how good 'hard' is...what a great message! Hard is good! Its hard to finish that degree, but hard is good. Its hard to remember to read the scriptures every night, but hard is good. And its hard to be perfect but hard is good! So many I leave this message with everyone, life is not easy (and you all know that) but HARD IS GOOD!

Football Season is Here..

I can't believe it, but summer has come and gone and the smell of football is in the air. Chad and I have been looking forward to this seasons first BYU game and I must say that it was great! Like always we got to Provo early, we went to the BYU bookstore, and as soon as the gates opened we were there! This BYU game was a special one for Chad because eight All American quarterbacks were honored and that means that Jim McMahon was there (Chads favorite)! It was awesome to see McMahon carry the BYU flag out before the game started. So to impress my hubby I will name all quarterbacks that I remember were there, Ty Detmer, Jim McMahon, Steve Young, Robbie Bosco (which we meet) Steve Sarkisian and then a couple others, lol! Brownies point for wife!!

I am super and I do mean super excited for this school year! I have all my lesson plans ready to go, and great ideas and activities I can't wait to do with the kids. The only problem or scary point is that my classroom is still not ready, so here is my classroom update...

the walls are up around the bathroom they built, the mud just went up today and now we are waiting and hoping all is ready so that we can paint the walls on Monday so that Tuesday I can be somewhat ready for parent teacher night...

Home Sweet Home!!

This past week was the last week Chad and I had to go and visit Mom, Dad, Tyrel and Kristian. So early and I do mean early Tuesday morning we headed to Othello (I was so excited to sleep). On the way home we made a little pit stop in Boise and had lunch with Shane and Brit. I know this sounds weird but there are times when I wish so badly I was still a kid and not have to worry about work, bills, and all that adult stuff. We loved our time home! We were able to sleep in a bed (please note all our belonging even some of our clothes and shoes are still in storage, we are still in the moving process therefore we do sleep on the floor, which might I add was so cool when you were a kid but not cool at all when you get older, lol) go have a fun day with Kristian and Tyrel, visit Mom at work, surprise not only Dad but us by seeing him at the gas station, and eating until my hearts content! Oh how I love home! But the best thing about being home this time was the temple trip we all made to do Chad's Mom baptism and Chad's grandparents baptism. It was a special time to spend with my family in the temple and even more special to get that temple work done. We hope to make it home again very soon to continue that temple work. I wish I had a picture but it was to short of a visit, but wait until next time we will have tons! We love ya Mom, Dad, Tyrel and Kristian!

School is Almost Here!!

Well its sad to say but its true summer vacation is coming to an end and its time to start school again! And I think for the first time in a long time (or even the first time in my life) I can say that I am way way excited to start school!! Yesterday I went up to my school, and this is what my classroom looks like, I cant do any changing quit yet because my room still needs to be painted, so other then not being patience for my room to be ready, I am all ready!! Once my classroom is ready to go I will update the blog with new pictures! But for now I am enjoying the rest of what summer vacation I have left, which is only a couple of more days!! Crazy....

4th of July

I have always loved the 4th of July I think it comes from my Dad, but there is something about the fireworks, the BBQ, the family time. This year was a little different, we usually spend the 4th with my side of the family but this year we had Chad's family with us for the 4th and on top of that we were in Utah not Idaho. My favorite part of this 4th was the fireworks, the stadium of fire really out did anything I have seen in my life. The fireworks were awesome! Chad and I only live two blocks from the BYU bookstore so everything is so close to us so we decided to hike up the Y mountain and watched the fireworks, it was a great night!

Moving to Provo...

Well after a long couple of days of stuffing every item into storage, and I mean stuff, we packed the car full and headed to Provo. It was hard to leave Boise! Boise became my second home, but I am also excited to start teaching here in Utah. Our plan is complicated! We plan on being in Provo for June and July, then come August we will move AGAIN to salt lake into our hopefully our final apartment. Here is a picture of the boxes and boxes we put into storage.
We have taken a lot of thought into where our next and final apartment will be. Chad and I agreed that we are not moving any more after this apartment unless we are moving into a house, which is our goal in 1 to 2 years. Well I am sure there will be more pictures when the next move comes, lol which is in a couple of weeks!!...

Wow! I am sorry it has been a long time since I have been able to set down and write on what has been going on, life is crazy right now!! Well Lets start from the beginning... Chad and I have made the hard decision and we will be moving to Salt Lake sooner then we had thought, (We had planned on living in Othello for the Summer before my teaching job started in August but it didn't work out) so we are currently in the process of getting our stuff packed up and organized. Oh did I fail to mention that I hate moving! I hate it with a passion! I will show you pictures of what I call 'box room'. So for my update here is a load of pictures to help fill in the 'whats happen'

Starting on the up side today is the last day that I will be working for the Boise School District!! I have loved working the Amy and Erma and all the staff, I will dearly miss them!! Its hard to think that I have been here for 5 plus years, wow time goes by way to fast! Above is a little parting gift from the staff..it's a craft basket (I guess I make the best bulletin boards in the district, lol). And the school count down is for my Mom. Each year we love to count down with each other, so here was my count down..

OK, now you are probably wondering why there is a picture of Chad's hair. Well to make a long story short my wonderful sports gunky hubby went on whats called a "streak" to help the Blackhawks win and make it to the Hockey Stanley Cup Playoffs. Well I can say it worked! that is up until he had an interview, and thank goodness for that interview he was starting to look like a hippy with long hair. This picture was taken at the sports clip right before they cut his 'lovely flowing locks' as what Chad says. I love my Hubby!!

And this little Princess is little Jewlena! (sorry if I spelled that wrong) Chad and I have been so blessed with the opportunity to watch her! She is the best baby ever! And the cutest!! She is always laughing and playing with her toys! The first time she saw Chad she feel in love, she loves to stare at him and look at all the crazy sport hats and shirts that he wears. I wish that Chad and I were staying around then we could watch her more and hang out more with her cool parents! But no worries we will coming down to visit!! Saturday's are always interesting with Chad and I. We love to go and do, but by the time we are going and doing we want to go home and rest... Well this Saturday we wanted to go and do but only for a little while, so we went to the mall to get my much needed make up and to pick up a B-day gift for Tyrel. While heading out of the mall Chad suggested that we go and eat at this place, that I have never heard before...I was very interested so I agreed and Chad lead the way to GYROS!!! Oh My, gyros are the best thing ever made!! I have never had a gyro before until today and I wish I had the money to buy the whole store out! I loved it so much that I got 2!! Yes 2 gyros!!

Ok, live as we know it is getting way interesting right now!! So here is our update!!

Good News...
Chad and I have been blessed with the opportunity to move to Salt Lake for a teaching job that I got.

Bad/rainy News..
BUT here is the thing... As of Right now we don't have any 'summer' jobs!! Yepper. Well its not as bad as it sounds! My teaching contract doesn't end until August so I still get paid from Boise School District until the end of August but Chad on the other hand will have no income for June July or August unless one of the million jobs that he has applied for will call him back!!

Interesting News...
And to top it off... We know that we will be out of our apt June 1st but where from there we have no idea. We have planned to put our things in storage so we can come and go across Washington, Idaho, and Utah but we don't know if we will be in Washington or Utah. Washington if chad doesn't get any call back from the million and one job applications and Utah if we he does get a job....Crazy right!

At times I feel like pulling my hair out and at other times I am totally ok... I guess that this is one of those experiences that we need to put FULL trust and faith in the Lord and just listen and do what He says...

so watch for updates on what happens this summer with us!! PS did I mention that I hate moving... (deep breath in and out:>)

My New Project...

So as you can see I am getting way way way excited about my new teaching job! I have spent so many hours search the cutest kindergarten activities. I weeded out some of the great project to do in preparing for my new kindergarten class and came out with a list of projects for my classroom and students. This is my first project for my kinder class. I love hands on activities and I know kids are the farthest thing from clean so I am making aprons for each of my students. (good thing this is a private school so my class size is 12!) So what do ya think! the fabric is styling a 'learning is fun' theme with frogs and has colorful buttons. Only 11 more to go!!

Today was such a great day! The sun was shining, birds were singing and I had energy to burn! So after picking Chad up from work and getting Tyrus at home we headed to the green belt to do some hiking and play'n in the water! Well I should say that Tyrus was the one playing in the water, Chad and I stood back and watched and laughed at him as he studied the water! Oh how beautiful this earth is!! I think that it should be a rule that everyone takes at least 30 mins to enjoy the outdoors!

So the word "taco's" have been a big no no in our house, especially when Chad ask what we want for dinner. My job or challenge from Chad is to have more dinner ideas or things to cook for dinner. Well this past week we bought a big and I mean big bag of potatoes and I have been trying to use them before they go bad. And today is the day that I think I finally made a potatoe product that Chad loves... FRENCH FRIES! yeah I finally made a good dinner item!!

Easter, Spring Break, Opening Day and General Conference!

I always love this time of year! Spring break. . . oh who those words send tingles down my back! I have always loved spring break, it’s a full week of sleeping in, getting your winter to do list done and starting those summer projects. This spring break I was able to visit Lucy, visit my new school that I will be teaching at next school year, and clean almost everything in sight at home! I also was blessed to visit my parents and send opening day with my wonderful hubby! (it’s a good thing the white sox won) The only downer to this spring break was that it SNOWED! Excuse you weather gods, did you not get my memo that it was spring break!! Oh well I guess it gives me a couple more days on snuggling up on the couch and read a good book.

Easter was also over my spring break, which was great! We had ham, rolls, jello, and yes I even made home made mash potatoes, which came out great! I also made Oreo cheesecake and cherry cheese cake and eat my weight in sugar sweets!! General Conference was on this Easter weekend, which really was the topping to this week and weekend!

Lucy is here! After waiting the long 9 months, I was able to meet my new wonderful, cute and oh so small and precious niece, Lucy! Lucy is such a great baby! She loves to smile and she has a great dimple on her right check which down the road that will drive the boys crazy!! She has such a strong and wonderful spirit to her and you can feel it more and more each time you hold her!! And not to forget she is the best dressed baby in the world!! I can’t wait to see her grow and am so excited for Chelsea and Sterling!!

March 31st was also a great day! It was Kyle's (moster's) Birthday!! Chad and I looked all over Boise for a yoda shirt but instead we found this awesome yoda man. Kyle is getting so big, when ever we go over to visit he is always running around and eating big boy food! Happy Birthday Kyle Anut Summer and 'unky' Chad love ya!

See Taco’s have been my specialty for years now, I learned how to make tacos from my Mom and Othello (little Mex – lol inside family joke). So my goal for the past couple of weeks has been to cook some new items. Of course my first try had to be a dessert…

Lemon Bars, oh so good…

Mash Potatoes… see Chad has informed me, after several and I mean several times of eating my gross instant mash potatoes, that they are so gross and he cant eat they any more. To my surprise I told me, that I hated it just as much and that’s why I didn’t eat them. I know I can make great mash potatoes but I just have to do it old school, with cutting, boiling them and whipping them, as you can see form this picture I was successful!!! And Chad loves them! Next time I made Chad promise me to tell me if what I make is good or not…

Sewing project #1

I have really come to love the fact that after work I don’t have to set at the kitchen table and do school work…It is amazing what you can do with all that free time!! Although this free time is only here for a short time (more school and new job stress to come) I am soak’n up the fun of it! One of the little activities I have take up with my free time is sewing. I have always loved to sew and thanks to my wonderful Mom who taught me how and for my wonderful sister in law Sarah who gave me her sewing machine, I have started this sweet jumper dress for my new niece Lucy!!!

The dress is still a work in progress so I will post a finished picture, hopefully by Wednesday because that is when I get to go see my new precious niece, LUCY!! I can't wait!!

My Day at the Marriot Center. (o boy)

So me and Chad loaded up the Cougarmobile this weekend. I had to go get my fingerprints done for my teaching job and my husband is never one to miss a BYU opportunity to grab some tickets to BYU vs New Mexico game. All week i heard about this epic game that was gonna take place. Chad called it the biggest game MWC basketball history. BYU ranked 13 and New Mexico ranked 1o. We got to the game early (as always, my husband has to be there when the doors open, wish i knew why.) Me and Chad are having a nice conversation before the game. The place starts to get full and then it happens! 4 yes 4 new Mexico fans start to climb the stairs, iam praying in my head Heavenly Father please dont let this guys sit behind us. No such luck for me. Now, my husband is a pretty cool customer he does not get rattled very easily at all. (quick note my husband from Chicago is very loud at sporting events, and gets pretty pumped up, i have heard story about my husband at cubs vs Sox games getting into it with people, not pretty.) Since he joined the Church he has gotten away from yelling stuff back at people at games. You all see where this is going dont you,hahah. The game starts and all is good, and then it happens these guys start to make dumb rude comments after every little thing. I can feel my husband blood starting to boil and then he had to much of it. New Mexico's player elbows a BYU player in the head, these guys behind us yell he is faking. Chad turns around and says a couple of things to this guys and i grab his arm and pull him back to his seat. Then the new Mexico guys get into it with the guys behind them. A fight almost breaks out. So Chad is clam and then it happens again, Chad fav player is Jonathan Tavernari he gets into with a new Mexico player and the guys behind us makes a bunch of comments and Chad turns around starts yelling at this guys. At this point iam like ok who kidnapped my husband, and who is this guy sitting next to me. I pull Chad back around and we finish the game. New Mexico wins in a close one. The place starts to clear out and i noticed that the guys behind us left there jackets and stuff behind. Chad grabs a guy wearing a new Mexico shirt and ask if he knew those guys sitting there, the guy said yes and Chad gives the stuff. My wonderful husband felt bad for saying stuff back and did a nice thing in doing that. I got a look at how my husband use to be and iam sure glad the Church has made him see that there are more important things in the world. I love my husband passion for all that he does, yes sometimes he goes a little overboard but i would not change him for the world. Go Cougars !!!

Summer's New Job

I have to apologies for not writing in a long time, Chad and I have been crazy busy. Well after our great trip to Chicago was over I headed back out to Salt Lake for a couple more interviews for special ed teaching positions. I have to say after those two weeks of going and going I was sick of going. But with all that going came some great news! I was offered several positions at several different schools, but after much thought and prayers I decided to start my teaching career at Spectrum Academy in North Salt Lake. Starting in June Chad and I will move to Utah and I will be the new kindergarten teacher. Many asked what is Spectrum Academy…well let me tell you. Spectrum is a charter school in Utah that tailors learning environment and curriculum to accommodate the unique needs of children with Asperger's Syndrome and other high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders. I will have about 8 to 10 students in my class and I cant wait to get started!!

Chicago, Chicago…It’s my kinda town!!!

Well that statement is true to a point! This past week Chad and I were very blessed to be able to take the time off and head out to Chicago to have fun and visit his family. I thought long and hard on details to include in this blog so I thought the best way would be a picture and story tell…hope you like!

Picture 1: Chicago people drive CRAZY!!

This is a side picture that I took with my phone. Ok this was our taxi drive from Midway to our hotel and I thought I was going to die! The whole way there I clung on to Chad. This was a drive that normally would take 30 minutes took our taxi person 15 minutes, it was CRAZY!

Normally I don’t take pictures of hotels but our view was awesome, even though it was cloudy. In the distance you can see Lake Michigan and a light house but the camera didn’t pick it up very well. It was a great hotel only 1 block away from the famous Michigan Ave and close to everything!!

This year Chad’s Christmas present was tickets to a Chicago Bulls game. I have to say I got a steal of a deal for these tickets; they were only 3 rows from the court!! It was awesome. The pictures speak for themselves….

So when we decided to plan our trip out to Chicago I instantly go online to see some of the cool thing Chicago has and I can across what I love to call the big silver jelly bean! I love it, after the basketball game Chad’s friend drove us around to see some of the sights and we got out and ran up to take a quick picture. Chad kept telling me over and over about Chicago pizza and how after you take one bit you will never eat another pizza, well now that is true!! I love this pizza it is the best! After the game and tour we went out for some pizza. It was great! This pizza is so great that you have to wait 30 minutes for it to cook, but it is well worth it!!

I will confess right now that I am not the best craft person in the world, it takes me a while to get a good idea and actually go with it. It is always so much easier to just buy something really cute, take it home, then find a great place for it. Well this Christmas break I hope to achieve both; buy a great item and make a great item. Well as you know by now, buying is a skill I do hold (just ask Chad) and while we were at Apple Anne's I found that perfect item. I love it! Don't you! For some reason I really love to collect pictures that are of all sizes and shapes...this one I really feel in love with.

Well now that my 'buying' art project is done, I decided to start some small art projects of my own. My first are these Christmas plates. Don't worry I did not buy these plates to paint them, they were a free gift form Desert Book Store after Chad and I had bought some cool stuff there. My plan is to paint them and putting some Christ pictures on them and then put some rub on words or sayings. I will have to update you on how they turn out, right now they are drying with there second coat of paint.

And not last but least, my final project are these Christmas apron's. I love after Christmas sales because you can get the greatest Christmas stuff for half the price! Well my mom bought the fabric and she had it setting behind her bedroom door and since my mom is so busy I told her I would make the aprons for her. So far as you can see I have them cut out, I have all the pockets cut out and the ties cut out, now all I need to do is to sew them together. Which I have to wait for because I don't have the right thread, so tomorrow I have to go and buy the right thread. I am so excited to see how they turn out!! And yes don't worry, I will update you on how they turn out!

Christmas Day

I have always, always loved the feeling that my Mom and Dad make at home for any holidays but especially for Christmas. My Mom and Dad always make sure that Christmas is everywhere you turn and that we are always reminded of the really reason for Christmas. Christmas Break

Christmas Break is a wonderful time of year, not only do I get to sleep in for two weeks straight and not feel guilty about it but I also get a lot done on my "summer to do" list! Christmas all starts at work, I always love the feel of Christmas at school, the students (no matter how old) still hold that child like excitement! Then when those bells rings and kids run wild out of school so do I, and I start my wonderful two week break! This break I am proud share with you all that I organized pretty much my whole house. See Chad and I have moved way to much after we got married so we resolved to just unpack the necessaries and keep the rest in box's, (we hope that the call to move will happen one last time and it will be to that dream job and house). . . anyways I took the time to go through those box's and reorganize them. From the picture you can see that I did really organize everything, even down to our food storage. If there is one thing that I can say that I have learned for organizing myself it would be to take notes, because one day you ask yourself, do we need that?? or Where did that go, its has to be around here somewhere... ahhh now I can put my feet up, put a check mark to that item and start on my next summer to do list item!!

It’s that time of year once again!! Decoration hung with care, sweets and treats all around and family gathered together! I love this time of year, well all but those stupid icy roads. Now that I am done with school and things are starting to settle down, I have taken the time to start really decorating and enjoying that Christmas spirit! Graduation

Saturday December 19th, 2009

I can not believe how fast this school year has gone! It seemed like just yesterday that I started on my four year and now I am done! For all of those people reading this blog, I Summer M. Dornon am proud to announce that I have officially graduated from BYU!! Yes that is right I am done with school, well that is until next fall when I plan on starting my masters degree. I can not express how excited I am!! Well as you can see, so excited that I decided to take pictures of my graduation announcements..lol. I don't plan on walking because I still have work and I don't want to travel in bad weather, but I fully plan on socking in the aroma of success. To top off this great news, I will be graduating with honors. As of today I do not know which honors I will be presenting, but my advisor told me that I was within the top percent for this graduating class. I wont know more until later this week. Come Saturday December 19th, 2009 I will be on cloud nine and celebrating all day!!

Thanksgiving... that wonderful holiday that only comes once a year! It gives everyone the right to eat to their hearts content and feel no gilt for the overload of calories ya just eat. This year sad to say, but Chad and I were unable to go home for thanksgiving, stupid work who needs it anyways, right!! So we made the best of what we could! We bought a ham and made all the right thanksgiving items, but that is not to say that everything turned out perfect! As Chad can confess, I can NOT make instant mash potatoes even if my life depended on it! I don't know what it is about instant marsh potatoes, maybe its the fact that they are so simple that I over think it! I don't know...but to make up for that down fall I made a stellar Lemon Meringue Pie!! Although it was great I learned that I need one last kitchen item and that is a roller! So you might ask how I rolled out the crust without a roller, well I thought long and hard on what I had . . . and I came out with using a large spoon to "spoon" out the crust. Funny uh! I was laughing the whole time...Overall Chad loved it and it was great! See here is a picture of my stealer pie!! MOM would be so proud of me... LOL

That's right people, only 8 weeks until I graduate from BYU!! Count them and weep! 8 weeks left until I receive that 8x10 paper that tells me I spent way to much! 8 weeks left until I have no more homework to do and wont know what to do with myself!! 8 more weeks until we party like its no tomorrow because I graduated! But the sad new is, because of school I don't get to blog as much as I want to, so to make up for that here is a little picture update. . .

BYU Football

Well, another season of BYU football is under way. What does this mean for Summer, long trips to Provo and loud saturday afternoons. My wonderful husband loves BYU football. Wait Love does not cover it, dont think they have word for how he feels about the Y. First home game of the Season BYU vs Florida St boy he was pumped. We started tailgating about 11am FOR A 5pm kickoff. This is my husband passion, loyal and the Cougars can do not wrong ever. I even think i heard him sing the Cougar fight song in his sleep. The season started with a bang a GIANT win over #3 Oklahoma. He went crazy screaming and yelling and running around the streets by our house.

Iam sorry let me give you a little background on my hubby. He has loved BYU since he was a little boy. Nobody in his family likes them and nobody in his family is a member. Chad will be a member 2 years this november. Chad can give a detail story for every team he likes, except for BYU. The only thing anyone can come up with is that Chad's dad is a big Bears fan. When Chad was little Jim McMahon was the Bears QB and he went to the Y.

Back to the first home game we tailgated for everrrrrrrrrrr. It was such a fun day and then the game started. The Cougars got beat pretty bad. It was the worlds longest drive home. MY husband did not say one word, he just looked out the window with his sad cute face. He looked like he lost his best friend. Now if the Cougars lose on saturday you cant talk to my husband again until like thursday. I would not change him for the world. I love his passion for everything he does. I love seeing him wake up on saturday mourning when the Cougars play, looking like a kid on Christmas. When we get close to the stadium and seeing his eyes light up looking at it. Walking in the Bookstore at the Y and see Chad like a little boy in a candy store.

I don’t think I made it clear enough… I HATE moving!!

Last week starting Wednesday we received a letter stating that our townhouse was sold and we have until the end of the month to move out. Yeah, I know what you are thinking totally not cool! So started the hunt for a new place. We were in hopes that this would be our last rental before we bought a house! Oh well, I guess. We spent hours upon hours looking online, craigslist and driving around Boise, we had no luck finding anything worth wild to rent, either it was a lease for a year (which we don’t want) or it was a dump by some bar (no joke)! Our rental lady told us that she had a two bedroom open just a little down from us so we jumped at the place, which was a blessing. But here come the part I hate the most!!! MOVING!! Yep you heard me, the boxes, the tape, the stupid paper cuts from those stupid box’s, the cleaning of the new and old place, the feeling of your arms and legs when day one of moving is done and oh don’t you forget the gross sweet dripping down your face while moving in 100 plus weather (ok so the sweet is a little much but I have to make my point!) Chad and I have had the key to our new apt for almost a week now and I have to say that all that is left to move is the couch, bed, table, and dresser, not much left! Now the key to that last sentence was I (summer) have moved everything that my poor little arms can carry. Yep! Here come the part that you can feel sorry for me… See while Chad is at work I move our things over, for hours upon hours I box and clean and move, box, clean and move…the past four days have gone like that. That’s right, Poor Summer! Well starting tomorrow Chad gets to help and move those last 4 big items over to our new place! That’s right Chad, feel the pain!! See I have learned through these short few months of marriage that men or motivated through “things” and these “things” are different for each man. Well Chad’s “thing” right now is the new Madden game. So I told Chad that he couldn’t buy the new Madden game until all those things were moved over! So to make sure that Chad gets to work, I went ahead and bought the game AND took all his credit cards away so he couldn’t buy another copy. Yep I had all areas covered! And so far it is working! Chad sees his prize in my purse just wanting to be played, but he can’t lay a finger on it until the apt is all moved over! (Insert evil summer laugh). Well off to bed I go with the Madden game tucked tightly under my pillow!! Oh don’t worry ya all- I will update ya with the rest of the move and pic of the new place.

Baseball nut

Oh yeah, that is the name that will make Tyrus’ heart stop….just try it! Say Baseball Nut around him and you will see! It all started with one late night when Chad had the great idea to go to Sonic for some drinks, so we all loaded into the car and took off, yes even Tyrus. Well on the way back home we saw a Baskin and Robin which was still open (which is very rare in Boise because everything closes at 8) so we stopped to see if Chad & his Mom’s favorite Ice Cream was there. I had never heard of Baseball Nut until Chad came back out to the car with a bucket of it. At that time Tyrus and I were like “what ever dad” then the next day, which was Sunday we got home after church and we eat dinner then Chad pulled out this ice cream, to my surprise this is the best thing that has entered my life, well that is besides Chad of course. I could have eaten the whole thing, which is what Chad claims, but yeah all know I didn’t! But you see my reaction was nothing like Tyrus’s. Tyrus hardly ever (really never) gets human food, but Chad felt petty on Tyrus and gave him a lick of his spoon. Oh my! Tyrus took just one lick of the spoon and his eyes got so big! It was great! With each lick his eyes got bigger and bigger! Then when it was all licked off the spoon he went crazy for some more. We have video of him; it is hilarious to see his eyes get all big with each lick he takes!

Can you believe it, another Saturday has come and gone and I am now wondering what to wear to church tomorrow! I love Saturday’s for many reasons, first being that my wonderful husband doesn’t have to work and second it means I can shop for shoes at Ross! But today wasn’t like any other Saturday! …Wonder why? …I found out that my husband has a man-crush! Sad I know! For those of you that know Chad you are probably thinking that he has many man-crushes (all players on the cowboys, cougars and white sox’s and ect) but I found his true man-crush….Joey Votto! Just recently Joey came out with an article that talked about his struggle dealing with his fathers death, Chad could really relate to what Joey was talking about. You have to read the article on ESPN, but that’s not all that I have heard these days! It’s been Joey this and Joey that’s…Just wait tomorrow he will want to name one of our future kids Joey! For all women out there, I advise that man crush’s are ‘ok’, but be forewarned that it last up to days, even months! LOL! Drop it! NO! Leave it! TYRUS….Down! NO Tyrus! Good boy!

Our puppy has grown up so fast! I can’t believe it. It felt like just last weekend that we got him. I have to say that he has come a long way. Tyrus is now fully house/crate trained and can do some simple tricks. He is smarter then he posses too! Just the other day I was setting at the table doing homework and he was in the back room pulling all of Chad’s dirty socks out of the laundry and putting them behind the couch to chew on later. He is a great addition to our family! The picture is of Tyrus chewing on Chad’s new game cover, it has Utah State on it and Chad hates Utah State.

Baby or Not’a Baby

That is the question …..

So as you all probably know by now I am almost done with BYU (I graduate this fall, December 14th to be exact) and ready to hit the real world of Special Education. But just recently the baby itch has struck and it not only came to me but Chad as well! But I don’t know what to do for sure! I want to have a baby now but fear that I will stress my self out with finishing school and trying to find a new job. Then I think to myself that I need to loss some weight before venturing on the baby road. There is so much that goes with making the decision of having a baby! If some one out there has some advice for me, please by all means, SHARE!

See this picture? This is not a good picture! You wonder why…….well these are unauthorized items bought online by my wonderful husband! See it’s Friday afternoon about 3pm and the wonderful wife, that’s me, has just got done cleaning the house, doing wash and finished the dishes; as she proceeds to take out the trash she remembers to get the mail. Lo and behold these two wonderful items are setting there, just waiting to be opened!! See a long time ago Chad and I made a promise to each other that we would not buy anything unless we have talked about it, but of course silly things like food and gas didn’t count and obliviously Chad thought his items didn’t count either!! Well ladies and gentlemen; I have come up with a plan!! That’s right a plan! First is to collect all the items that he has illegally bought online! Second is to put price tags on all of them, for the price he paid of course. Next, when my wonderful husband arrives home from work he will encounter my list of ‘to do’ in which is his key and only key to earning back his illegally bought items! I know, I know, it’s the perfect plan! Don’t worry ladies I won’t paten it so you can use it on your husbands if so needed!! And don’t worry I will update you with the time it takes him to earn back his precious items….(evil laugh inserted here)

Roller Blades

Roller Blades....oh yeah remember when you were a kid and you had those cool roller blades that would take you anywhere!! Well Chad and I got board one weekend and we went out and got roller blades. After selecting just the right pair we headed off to the green belt to test these suckers out. May I say it was quit an interesting trip! Both Chad and I took about 30 mins getting those blades on and then carefully started out. I resorted to getting Tyrus into pulling me along, but that didn't last long when he saw the water. Chad got the hang of it before me but I was getting there! When we decided to turn around and head back to the car we ran into some problems, first was trying to turn around. As we were in the process of turning we encountered an old grandma who presisted to yell at us that we were on the wrong side of the belt and that we didn't have control over Tyrus and lastly we weren't moving fast enough for her. But we finally made it back to the car safely. Since then we have ventured out several other times, but I think Chad is getting this whole roller blade thing faster then me but I still am working on it.

6. If i dont tell her whats for dinner its gonna be TACO night AGAIN
5. When she ask me a question about Clothes, weight etc..i know there is not right answer
4. She randomly turns off the my playstation 3 before i can save my game.
3. She ask every question in the book about the Bulls with :30 left in the 4th and the Bulls are down by 1, when she had the whole game to ask those questions
2. When she asks me a question the first thing that goes in my mind is what answer will get me in the least amount of trouble.

Say hello to the newest member of the Dornon Family!! This is Tyrus. This past Saturday Chad and I went to the pound, we have been looking and researching on dogs for some time now and we finally have found the perfect addition to our family! We were told that Tyrus was a blue heeler mix but as we got him home and started to play with him we are thinking that he is rottweiler mix. I guess we will see when he grows up. His name was a deal Chad and I made, I pick the puppy and Chad picks the name. So Tyrus is named after a Chicago Bulls player, Tyrus Thomas. I do have to admit that I was a little worried about the name but Chad did a great job!! Tyrus is 11 weeks old and is full of fun energy! Tyrus is smarter then the rest, but then again I say that because he is my baby! He is doing a great job in getting adjusted to his new home, and already really good at going to the door and outside to take a leak, which is vital because I don’t want a house that smells like pee! And, just today, Tyrus did really good walking the green belt with Chad and I. Oh and not to worry Chad has already got Tyrus in the habit of watching any and every sport found on TV.
